Customs duty
Updated Sep 22, 2026 · TaxGuide
Customs duty is not calculated here yet. The lawful amount depends on the tariff heading and the valuation, not on a single rate for “imports”.
Pakistan Customs assesses imported goods under the customs tariff. The heading (often called the HS code), the customs value, and any exemption or extra levy all change the result. Sales tax, income tax collected at import, regulatory duty, and additional customs duty can sit on the same declaration. They are not the same as salary tax.
A responsible calculator has to ask for the heading and apply the published tariff row, then show the document and the date. A box that says “enter the price, we apply 20%” would be a guess.
When TaxGuide adds this calculator, the rule rows will be versioned the same way salary slabs are: draft, review, source, publish. Old tariff rows stay available for the period they covered.
Check the Federal Board of Revenue and Pakistan Customs for the live tariff. TaxGuide does not assess a goods declaration.
